Real-Time Service Notifications in The EDGE
The Edge can automatically notify your customers, by email or text, moments after you mark their jobs “ready” or a loved one adds an item to a wish list.
With the text messaging (SMS) feature, The Edge can automatically send texts directly from The Edge to your customers to let them know when:
- A repair is complete
- A custom job is ready
- An appraisal is ready
- A special order is in
- When an item has been added to a wishlist
- Happy Birthdays and Anniversary
- Associate Tasks
- Associate Appointments
We estimate that an average store needs to make about 30 notifications each day. If these notifications were to be made by phone, they would take on average 2 minutes each. That adds up to somewhat more than 20 hours of labor each month, not to mention lost opportunities on the sales floor. Notification via SMS text message requires an SMS Service Agreement.
Clientbook
The Edge + Clientbook integration allows you to use Clientbook to power the Edge’s internal text notification system. This can be used to automatically text customers when special orders are in, repairs are ready, and much more.

SMS Service Agreement synopsis
Monthly fee of only $35, no setup fee, plus $0.05 for each message.
We require a credit card on file. The monthly fee will be automatically charged a few days before the start of the month and the per-message usage fee will be charged a few days after the close of the month. (Your credit card information will be on file with us, not some third party.)
You do not need to set up the text or cell number; we'll set up a number in your area code that will be used automatically for outbound messages generated by The Edge.
Other Requirements
Both email and SMS require a reliable Internet connection. Your store network must be connected to the Internet.
