Missing Photos after Windows Update

In some cases when you are unable to see photos on your stations, it is due to a Windows update. A Windows upgrade may have caused your network and sharing settings to be disrupted leading to a disconnect between your Server and Workstations. If so, it would be best if you obtained the assistance of your local technician.

In the meantime, follow the guide below as a first-step towards resolution to this disconnect:

  1. Open the Windows Control Panel by typing Control Panel from the Windows File Explorer.
  2. Under Network and Internet, click Choose Homegroup and Sharing Options. Select Change Advanced Sharing Settings.
  3. Under Network Discovery, select Turn on Network Discovery.
  4. Under File and Printer Sharing, select Turn on File and Printer Sharing.
  5. Under All Networks > Public folder sharing, select Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in the Public folders.
  6. Under All Networks > Password Protected Sharing, select Turn off password protected sharing.
