Types of Appraisals in Edge

There are two types of appraisals in the Edge: Appraisal and Pre-Appraisal.

  • Appraisal intake at the POS, which will offer a detailed appraisal regardless if the item was purchased in your store.
  • Pre-Appraisal acts as a certificate of sale. This is linked to the item numbers in your system and can be printed at the time of sale.

Pre-Appraisal can be found directly on the item record under the Pre-Appraisal tab. At POS, if an item has a Pre-Appraisal associated with it, you will see the MORE button on the item line lit up.

You can create an Appraisal at the POS sale at any time by using the APPRAISAL INTAKE button.

If you use the ITEM # field on the Appraisal Intake, it will copy over the photo and the description of the item of an existing or previously bought item. The description will appear in the "intake description" field of the appraisal. If the item was not purchased in your store, the item number field can be skipped.
