Edge Data Transfer (EDT) exports and imports data files in JSON (preferred) or XML format. Any associated images or videos are sent in their original format. The EDT application allows you to define criteria for what to include based on category, vendor, and inventory type. Within The Edge, there are also options that give you more granular control on an item by item basis to decide what uploads.
The first time it is run, all matching data and images are exported. Thereafter it is set up on a schedule (up to you and your web developer) and each time it runs only new or changed records are included. EDT includes built-in FTP/SFTP support so that the files can be directly uploaded allowing your web developer to automate updating your site.
It is available in two configurations and pricing depends on whether you are using an Edge Partner. Punchmark is our only partner currently. As a partner, we waive the annual EDT service charge.

NOTE: For new sites, we generally recommend starting with a Single Directional EDT implementation. If you find the need for the enhanced Bi-Directional functionality it can be turned on at any time. We simply charge the difference for the upgrade; there are no extra hidden fees.
