You can define Locations for both inventory and service jobs in your store. This allows you to track their physical location.
Inventory Locations can be used to define all the places an item could be: cases, back office, safe, etc. These can be assigned using the Location drop-down when Adding or Editing and item and can also be updated using the Item Move function on the Items menu. Additionally, item locations work in concert with the Physical Inventory and Blind Counts features to reconcile on hand inventory and identify discrepancies.
Service Job Locations can be used to define all the places a service job could be: bins, stations (benches), outside vendors, etc. These can be assigned using the Location drop-down when intaking or edit a job and can also be updated using the Move Envelope function on the Jobs menu.
