This article describes the best practices for removing a deceased spouse. If this is a divorced spouse, see Customers: Remove Divorced Spouse for best practices.
To remove a deceased spouse from a customer:
- Use Customer > Find to find and edit the living customer.
- Click Supervisor > Remove Spouse.
- This will unlink and separate their records.
- Click Supervisor > Merge Customer and select the Merge option.
- Use the drop-down on the left to find the deceased spouse to be consumed.
- Select any contact details you wish to take when the merge is completed.
- Save the customer record.
NOTE: The merge will move all sales activity to the living spouse.
