BriteCo Setup: System Options


After you have successfully installed your new license, you must set the System Options for BriteCo which will activate the BriteCo buttons throughout Edge. You must also set the BriteCo Insurance option in order to use BriteCo at POS to send insurance quotes.

Additionally, you must also select and enter an Associate as your Default Appraiser, as BriteCo requires an Associate on each Appraisal. This means that for insured items to be sent to them from POS, you must set the Default Appraiser in your System Options

Appraisal System Options

To set the System Options for Appraisals:

  1. Navigate to Administrative > System Options.
  2. Scroll down to the Appraisals section and locate the Default Appraiser and Default Type of Appraisal options and apply the following changes:

    • Default Appraiser – Associate ID number of the Default Appraiser to be assigned on new Appraisals.
    Enter the ID number from the Associate Record of the Associate that will act as the Default Appraiser on new Appraisals completed and sent to BriteCo from POS. 


    • Default Type of Appraisal – The store’s default type of Appraisal.
    Click the dropdown arrow and select BriteCo from the list.

Insurance System Option

To send insurance quotes using BriteCo from POS, you must set the System Option that will activate BriteCo Insurance at POS. 

NOTE: This option is set to False by default. This must be activated manually to send insurance quotes using BriteCo.

To set the System Option for Insurance

  1. From the System Options screen, scroll down to the BriteCo Options section and locate the option called Use BriteCo for POS Insurance.

     
  2. From the dropdown menu, change this option to True.
  3. Click OK to save your changes.
