The Edge allows users to optimize the store’s efficiency by employing barcodes on nearly all records. Barcodes are used on inventory items, POS receipts, tender cards, gift certificates, and job envelopes (repairs, appraisals, layaways, and special orders).
Additionally, the Hyperion 1472g scanner supports 2D barcode scanning, allowing you to scan IDs and licenses. This scanner can connect directly to the base via the USB hub, or for added convenience, can be used wirelessly by pairing with your PC or tablet via Bluetooth.
2D scanning functionality requires additional setup as the Edge default scanner configuration is NOT set for 2D scanning. Please see the Configuration article for setup instructions.
