Editing Appraisals

To edit an appraisal:

  1. Click Services > Find > Appraisal. Enter criteria to search for your appraisal, then select and Edit it. The Edit Appraisal window will appear with the General/Intake Info tab open.

Fields and options here are similar to Appraisal Intake with the addition of the following:

    Done

Date appraisal finished; entered a date here marks the appraisal as complete and ready for pick up

    Notified

Date customer notified that appraisal complete

    Picked Up

For picked up appraisals, the date it was picked up

    Location

    Current location of appraisal job

  2. Make any desired changes, then click on the Appraisal Details tab to begin completing the appraisal.

    Fields on the top include

    Title

    Show Paragraph Values

Check this to show the value of each paragraph; uncheck to only show total value at the bottom

    Estimated Replacement Cost

Specify total value of appraisal; alternatively, use the Use Sum Instead checkbox to have this auto-calculated as the sum of all paragraphs

  3. This tab defines what will print. The appraisal is divided into paragraphs. If appraising a single item, each paragraph can describe a component of the item in more detail and, optionally, have a picture associated with it. Or, if appraising multiple items together, each paragraph can represent a different item.
  4. Click the Add button at the bottom to create a new paragraph. A new line will appear.

  5. In the top text field enter a heading; this will appear in bold. Beneath that, enter the description. To the right, enter the value for this paragraph. Optionally, use the camera icon to add one or more pictures. The Plus icon allows you to add stone detail; see Appraisal Templates for more information on printing this stone data.

  6. While working on the appraisal, you can click the Preview tab at any time to see a live preview of appraisal. This can be useful to check formatting, especially while working through a large appraisal.

    Options on this tab include:

    Choose Document Template

Allows you to choose a different appraisal template; see Appraisal Templates for more information

    Save to PDF

Opens window allowing you to save a PDF version of this appraisal

  7. Repeat steps 4-6 to add as many paragraphs as needed.
  8. Make any other necessary changes and save them.
