Spouse / Partner: Primary Customer


Functionally, there is not much difference between being the Primary customer and their Spouse/Partner.  Both customers have full access to any shared data and there is nothing a Primary customer can do that a Spouse/Partner cannot do.

The only tangible difference is in how the data is stored.  For shared accounts, like Rewards and House Accounts, the data will be associated with the Primary customer's account number (customer key).  Regardless, it is still accessible from both records.

When separating a linked account, all open balances are moved to the Primary customer.

If you want to change the Primary customer:

  1. Find and Edit the Spouse/Partner or lookup the current Primary customer and click the Switch to Spouse button at the bottom.
  2. Click Supervisor > Set as Primary.
  3. Click Yes to the confirmation window.
  4. Save your changes.
