Error: System Resource Exceeded


This error message typically occurs during the Database Upgrade step of The Edge demo installation, and means that the system ran out of resources while performing this task.

First Steps to Resolve Error Message

As a first step in bypassing this error message, you will follow the steps below:

  1. Click Start > Abbott Jewelry Systems > Configure The Edge.
  2. Find the section for Processor Affinity and set the number to 4.
  3. Click OK to close the configuration window.
  4. Then re-launch The Edge to initiate the Database Upgrade once again.
    NOTE:  It is normal to see "Not Responding" during this upgrade. Do not interrupt this process. If it does not error, allow the upgrade to continue.

In addition to these details, please also include the version of Edge you are running, which can be found at the bottom left hand side of the main Edge screen.
